Premature end for "Petit Le Mans" race

ALMS:
The 1000 mile race "Petit Le Mans" at Road Atlanta (USA) had to be called after less then five of the scheduled ten hours due to torrential rain. Audi dominated the opening stages of the race leading 167 of the 184 laps which were completed. When the red flag came out, however, Audi Sport Team Joest’s two Audi R15 TDI prototypes were running in third and fourth positions in which they were finally also classified. As a small consolation the Audi squad won the "Michelin GreenX Challenge" which was awarded to the most environmentally friendly and efficient car.

Tough weekend for Audi Sport Italia

ADAC-GT-Masters:
Round eleven of the Italian GT Championship at Mugello did not even last a lap for the team of Audi Sport Italia: Giorgio Sanna was involved in a multiple car crash just after the start and had to retire. Sanna and Portugal’s Filipe Albuquerque, who replaced Audi "factory" driver Dindo Capello at Mugello, finished the second race in fifth position despite a damaged suspension on their Audi R8 LMS.
