Marcus Haselgrove
brings a wealth of motorsports experience
with him to the Champion Racing team, with
twelve years in motorsport beginning with
Rally cars in 1989.
After working in
rally car preparation, Marcus attended
Loughborough University ('92-'97), gaining
his Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical and
Automotive Engineering. His post graduate
work started as a junior engineer with
JUDDS formula one and touring car program
working with data acquisition. He also
studied part time for a masters degree in
engineering design.
This led to a
Position at Motec in 1998. Initially at
national level, then World Championship
level, supporting their customers at
factory level with engine management and
data systems in World rally cars [Mistsubishi],
sports cars [Lister, Viper, LOLA,
Porsche], Superbikes [Suzuki], touring
cars [Nissan] and training people on data
acquisition. After two years in Europe,
Marcus moved to Motec USA. This followed a
summer sabbatical in Finland, engineering
touring cars for Aaltonen motorsport.
In 2001 Marcus
supported international based customers
from sports cars, touring cars and
superbike championships to television and
research companies. He also gave many
training seminars and submitted papers for
MIRA on data collection. Marcus joined
Champion Racing late in 2001, and is now
involved in development and management of
data systems in all three Champion Racing
programs (Porsche, ALMS Audi, SPEED GT Audi
RS-6).
