CHAMPION RACING PREPARES FOR PRE-LE MANS TESTING
With the Le Mans pretests set for 6 May, Champion Racing has been
busy packing up our race equipment for shipment to France. A smaller, European-spec
transporter has been added to our fleet for the overseas trip, and you see it
below. Dave Schnorr has decorated the bright red truck with standard Champion
graphics, and the fully loaded truck is already on its way to France by sea transport.
Also shown below are two photos showing some of the details of our Le Mans R8.

As announced back at our R8 Press Launch, Champion will join as part of the Audi
factory assault on this year's 24 Hours. At the New York Auto Show our final Le
Mans driver lineup was announced, which will consist of Ralf Kelleners, Johnny
Herbert and Didier Theys, all of whom have significant Le Mans experience. Theys
was also part of the first Audi attempt at Le Mans in 1999, in one of the closed-cockpit
cars. Herbert is a previous Le Mans overall winner, in the Mazda prototype which
took the win in 1991.
