| Dave Maraj, Team Owner of Champion Racing and President of Champion Motors, will appear on SPEED Channel’s popular Motorsports talk show “Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain” live from his recently completed new Champion Motorsports facility on Monday, August 16.
Maraj has been involved in motorsports throughout his life starting at age 18 when he raced rally cars on the island of Trinidad. Today, Maraj and his Pompano Beach, Florida based Champion Racing organization has quickly established itself as one of the top “privateer” motor racing teams in the world. Maraj currently campaigns an Audi R8 LMP1 “Prototype” in the American Le Mans Series with drivers JJ Lehto and Marco Werner and a pair of Audi RS 6 “Competition” cars with drivers Randy Pobst and Michael Galati in the SPEED World Challenge GT series. Both teams are currently leading in points for the Manufacturer’s Championship.
In addition to running a world-class racing organization, Maraj’s philosophy of “we race what we sell” is evident in his two automobile dealerships also located in Florida. Champion Audi is one of the largest Audi dealerships in the South East and will soon be moving into a new, 50,000 square foot, state-of-the art facility. Champion Porsche, the largest volume Porsche dealership in the world, continues to thrive in its own world-class facility.
